In Geroyskoe village, Saky area after major reconstruction of the Memorial complex has been opened Memorial complex to Nine Heroes of the Soviet Union

On the eve of the anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic war in Geroyskoe village of Saky district took place the opening ceremony of the reconstructed Memorial complex to Nine Heroes of the Soviet Union, shot at this place by the Nazis in 1944.

Reconstruction of the Memorial complex was initiated personally by the Governor of the Samara oblast Nikolay Merkushkin in the framework of regional cooperation of the Samara region and Saky district Republic of Crimea. The estimated cost of the work amounted to about 5 million rubles, and was financed by charitable contributions of employees of the Samara region. Reconstruction lasted from the beginning of May of the current year.

At the opening of the Memorial complex were present veterans of the Great Patriotic war, members of the Presidium and deputies of Crimean Parliament headed by the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, Samara region Governor Nikolay Merkushkin, the Chairman of Samara Provincial Duma, Victor Sazonov, Chairman of the Saksky district administration Alexander Avdienko, Heroic village head Oleksandr Gumennyy, heads of district and territorial communities, local inhabitants.
