In the Republic of Crimea began mourning events dedicated to the Day of memory of victims of deportation of peoples of Crimea

On May 16 in Simferopol began events, devoted to the 70-th anniversary of the Day of memory of victims of deportation during which were laid flowers at the memorial stone at the railway Avenue, memorial monument in the Park “Salgirka”at the borders of Botanical garden of Tavrida national V.I. Vernadsky University, as well as to the architectural complex “Renaissance” in Crimean State Engineer-Pedagogical University.

In the ceremony took part the First Vice-speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Crimea Grigory Ioffe, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Konstantin Bakharev, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Donich, member of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation from the government of the Republic Olga Kowitidy, members of the Presidium of the Crimean Parliament and government of Crimea, representatives of Simferopol city Council, public, teachers and students.
