Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea discussed issues of resettlement and socio-cultural development of returnees in the Republic of Crimea in 2014

According to the Chairman of Permanent Commission of SC RC on Interethnic Relations and Problems of the Deported Citizens of Edip Gafarov, as of 1 January 2014 in Crimea live 278,9 thousands of repatriates, including: 272,6 thousand Crimean Tatars, 4.9 thousand Armenians, Bulgarians, Greeks, Germans. By present time in Crimea were formed 263 of village and the array of compact residence, including 6 - Armenians, Bulgarians, Greeks, Germans. From the total number of settlements three quarters provided water and about 90% of electricity. The level of gasification does not exceed 30%, of Sewerage networks and roads are practically absent.

The total cost for the resettlement of deported from 1991 to 2013 amounted to 1.3 billion UAH.
