In spite of threats and provocations, the referendum on March 16 will take place – statement of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of ARC

On March 13, 2014 has been adopted the statement of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In the text of the document states:

“On the eve of the historic referendum on the fate of Crimea yesterday leaders of the “Maidan”, self-proclaimed themselves as new authorities in Ukraine are doing everything to prevent the free expression of the will of Crimean citizens. Klitschko, Yatsenyuk, Tiahnybok addressed residents of the autonomy with the call to boycott the vote on March 16. Officials of state authorities and local self-government in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea threatened criminal responsibility for participation in its organization.

Declare that in spite of threats and provocations, the referendum on March 16 will take place".
