Vladimir Konstantinov: Head of the Republic of Crimea will be elected by an indirect election

Head of the Republic of Crimea shall be elected by indirect elections. It was stated by the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, commenting on the adoption by SC RC GS in the first reading the draft law of the Republic of Crimea “On the procedure for electing the Head of the Republic of Crimea”.

According to him, has been chosen the formula, according to which the head of the Republic will be elected in Crimean Parliament. “Which is the key condition for the implementation of this bill”, - said the Speaker.

It particularly goes about the election of the Head of the Republic Crimea by deputies of the State Council from among three candidates nominated by the President of the Russian Federation. This View should be considered by the deputies of the Crimean Parliament within 5 days from the date of its submission by the President of Russia, after a series of consultations and discussions in the Parliament of Crimea, according to the draft law, should be held open voting.
