The Federation Council is ready to support the solution of the Crimea on the membership in the Russian Federation – V. Matvienko

The Federation Council will support the decision of the inhabitants of Crimea on joining autonomy in the Russian Federation, if such decision will be made on the Crimean referendum on March 16. It was stated by the Speaker of the upper house of the Russian Parliament Valentina Matvienko at the meeting with the delegation of the Supreme Council of Crimea, which is headed by the Head of the autonomy Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov.

“If people of Crimea will show their will to take such a decision on joining Russia, we as the upper chamber will support the solution”, – said Valentina Matvienko.
