In Crimea has been opened the branch office of the Russian historical society

The Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation - the head of the Russian historical society Sergei Naryshkin, who arrived in Crimea to participate in activities in the framework of the VIII International festival “The Great Russian Word”, opened the branch of the Russian historical society in Crimea and conducted meeting of the Organizational Committee on preparation activities associated with the 100-th anniversary of the beginning of the First world war. In the events that took place in Livadia Palace, took part the Head of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov.

Taking into account the desire of the scientific and cultural community of the Republic of Crimea for the return of cultural and educational space of Russia, at the session of the Presidium of the Council of the Russian historical society (RHS) on may 17, 2014, was made the decision on establishment of the Russian historical society - regional branch in the Republic of Crimea.
