In Crimea will be created local administration of urban settlements

Deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea supported amendments to the Law of the Republic of Crimea “On principles of local self-government in the Republic of Crimea”.

The norms determine the status of the head of local administration of urban settlements in the Republic of Crimea and of the mechanism of termination of powers of bodies of local self-government existing at the time of the elections on 14 September 2014.

In accordance with the new version of the law it is provided for the establishment in the urban districts of territorial administration, headed by the heads of local administrations, defined the terms of their appointment.

The law is supplemented by a new provision according to which the head of the local administration of the municipal district, urban district, urban settlement is a person appointed to the post of head of the local administration under the contract concluded according to the results of the competition to fill this position for a term of office determined by the municipal Charter.
